LINDSAY LOHAN: THE DIVA
Age: 19
From: USA
Top Track: Rumours
The Music: Lindsay Lohan released her debut album Speak late last year to eagerly awaiting fans. They strongly showed their support and the album has recently been certified platinum. Her debut was also backed by another heavyweight - industry legend Tommy Mottola (Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez). And Lindsay herself has done more than her fair share. She co-wrote five of the eleven songs on the record even though she already had her schedule packed with film commitments. She even recorded six out of the twelve tracks in her trailer on set while filming the upcoming movie Herbie: Fully Loaded.

FYI: If you only became aware of Lindsay Lohan in 2004, it’s quite understandble. It was after all, the year when she catapulted into the spotlight and became one of the most sought after young actresses in Hollywood, starring in hit movies like Freaky Friday, Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen and most recently Mean Girls. She even made it to the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine and they declared her 2004's ‘Hot Girl’. But this redhead has been a familiar face in show biz ever since she was a child.
She began her career at age three as a Ford Model and in a period that favoured blue-eyed blondes, Lindsay had the distinction of being the first red-headed child to be signed by the prestigious modelling agency. Television work quickly followed and she truly got noticed when she played dynamic identical twins in Disney’s remake of The Parent Trap.
Even as she made it up the acting ladder, Lindsay slowly strengthened her singing aspirations. She appears on the Freaky Friday soundtrack singing the main theme song, and sang two songs in the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. The latest testament to her popularity comes with the release of a Lindsay Lohan doll as part of the Barbie: My Scene line. Actress, singer or doll, whichever avatar you like, this redhead is clearly here to stay.
