ROCK STAR DIARIES

Formed in the winter of 2000 Pin Drop Violence can best be described as a “five-man chaos-squad” according to the band. Their beginnings were humble and the band could often be found practicing in a hut in some remote part of Mumbai, with no fan or windows, just one door, and one bulb, and all connections for the amps coming from that electrical connection. All that practice paid off and since then PDV has gone on to become one of the most explosive live Indian metal acts.

The agenda was always simple - Pradeep and Rohit wanted to create a movement and increase awareness in the underground rock circuit about hardcore music. Says Rohit, “The music was getting stale; everyone was doing the same old stuff, same covers, no originality. That's where we decided to step in.” The band was soon not only playing in their hometown of Mumbai but also rocking crowds in Bangalore, Kanpur, Pune, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi, to name a few.

The next step in the PDV vision came with the release of their debut album Compose…Oppose…Dispose. Produced by Pentagram’s Randolph, released on OML records and distributed by Sony Music India all over India, the album gives you the chance to take home that electric PDV experience.
